MAMBO Viajero is a traveling museum whose objective is to democratize art reaching diverse populations that normally won’t go to a museum. The exhibitions include copies of the artworks that belong to the collection of the Museum of Modern Art of Bogota. In 2018 the roaming container was refurbished and a tour that reached 10 municipalities in Bogotá, Colombia started. The exhibition included pieces of art show The art of Disobedience, which took place in the museum earlier that year.
The exhibition was complemented by guided tours and workshops that encourage kids to develop interest in art and culture. That year MAMBO Viajero reached 6.000 children in different public schools in Bogotá.
